Ari Reyes

Artist and Illustrator

I have always been fascinated by things that evoke wonder and I find nothing more incredible than the natural world. Green and untamed forests, the night sky glistening with stars, and the haunting songs of the humpback whale. I'm also captivated by the unexplainable phenomenons of the universe and I enjoy pondering existence itself. Whether it be the exploration of dreams, trying to understand the human condition, or diving deeper into our sentient feelings,  all of these bewitch my mind.

I also love to tell stories, but I am not a writer. Deeply inspired by folklore and mythology, I love creating unique symbols and tying them to a universal concept. To create a narrative through imagery, so I can relay my messages and internal thoughts through my art and into my audience.

Through symbolic imagery and experimentation with various art forms, I am able to showcase my fascinations and stories to my audience. Being able to create pieces that can engross the viewer in the same manner that I engross myself with my enchantments is incredibly fulfilling. To me, art is like a portal, a window to a new world. I always feel so satisfied whenever I create a piece that allows my viewer to escape from this world, for a moment, and unleash their mind to another. To evoke wonder is my greatest goal.

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the Universe exist. Be curious." - Stephen Hawking
