Artist Statement

I have always been fascinated by things that evoke wonder and I find nothing more incredible than the natural world. Green and untamed forests, the night sky glistening with stars, and the haunting songs of the humpback whale. The natural world has always been a source of inspiration for my art as well as my muse through life. Everything I do ties back to the natural world.

To better understand the world and life itself, I explore narrative heavy concepts to help me express myself. Deeply inspired by folklore and mythology, I love to create unique symbols and tying them to a universal concept.

Through symbolic imagery and experimentation with various art forms, my thoughts and stories come alive. Being able to create pieces that can engross the viewer in the same manner that I engross myself within nature and my inner thoughts is incredibly fulfilling. To me, art is like a portal, a window to a new world. I always feel so satisfied whenever I create a piece that allows my viewer to escape from this world, for a moment, and unleash their mind to another. To evoke wonder is my greatest goal.

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the Universe exist. Be curious." - Stephen Hawking
