Artist and Illustrator
I have always been fascinated by things that evoke wonder. Such as vast mountain ranges and the night sky glistening with stars. The unexplainable phenomenon of dreams, all of the wonderful creatures that roam this planet, and all of the mysteries of the universe such as our existence. All of these bewitch my mind.
I also love to tell stories, but clearly I am not a writer. I want to explain things that words cannot suffice for me. I want to share my thoughts and fascinations about nature, the universe and life through stories. Tales that seem to have come out of medieval folklore or ancient mythology. I want my audience to attain the same results that words often accomplish. Luckily for me, my art allows me to achieve this.
Through symbolic imagery and experimentation with various art forms, I am able to project my fascinations onto my audience. Being able to create pieces that can engross the viewer in the same manner that I engross myself in my enchantments is incredibly fulfilling. To me, art is like a portal, a window to a new world. We as artist have the power to create whatever world we want and what we choose to highlight in our worlds speaks not just about our interests, but the audience we invite into them. I always feel proud whenever I can make someone escape from this realm of existence and instead enter into a world where their imaginations can run wild. To inspire is my greatest goal.
“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the Universe exist. Be curious." - Stephen Hawking
